Prefix Plates (Page 1)
These plates are basically the opposite of Suffix plates. They consist of a year letter followed by upto 3 numbers and then ending with 3 letters.They were issued between 1st August 1983 (Year letter A) to 1st September 2001 (Year letter Y)

Restrictions
You are not allowed to put a plate on a vehicle to make it appear newer than it actually is. For example, if your was first registered on a 'M' plate (Aug 1994 - Jul 1995) you would not be able to transfer a 'N' plate or later on to it.
